<![CDATA[Maxine Koons CENTERVILLE, Ind. - Maxine Koons, age 93, of Centerville, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at her home. Born January 30, 1922, in Cambridge City, Indiana, to George and Irene Peirson McNutt, Maxine was a life-long resident of this community. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Maxine was a member of the Centerville Christian Church. She was an integral part of the family's dairy farm where she worked with her husband for many years. Maxine was also a homemaker. She loved her home and the beauty of the country. Maxine was a sweet and loving person who loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, James Koons, to whom she was married on August 27, 1944; daughters, Barbara (Lawrence Schuler) McQueen of Abington, Indiana, and Marilyn (Randy) Coldiron of Connersville, Indiana; son, Phillip K. (Brenda) Koons of Centerville, Indiana; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Charlene Remley; brother, Cecil McNutt; and great-granddaughter, Christine Laloge. Visitation for Maxine Koons will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
